Natural vs Synthetic
I find that the “do-gooder” in me feels good when I use natural products and eat organic, locally-produced food, knowing that I'm not harming the world. However some “natural” products seem to be more expensive and a lot more difficult to source. At LoveHennaHair we are hoping to encourage people to use natural beauty products by making them a bit more accessible and reasonably priced. Not only will we have the natural hair dyes for sale but in the very near future we are hoping to stock various natural cleansing products too.
Comparing natural and synthetic/chemical hair dyes: after using henna to dye my hair instead of chemical dye - I don't think I will ever go back to using chemical dyes. When using the chemical dye my scalp would feel all prickly while it was on - which is a little worrying. However when I used the henna it was… best way I can describe it is that it was like having a soothing face mask on my scalp. The smell was more pleasant too, kind of earthy. The main difference was the length of time that I had to keep the mixture on - 2 hours for henna instead of 30 minutes for chemical dyes but that wasn't such a problem either as it gave me a little “me” time.
