I love the smell of henna but not indigo so I use about 5 drops of clove oil in the mixture-but then I smell of clove and everyone thinks I have been cooking curry!!

I've just been doing a bit of research and some people mix in a bit of cloves or cinnamon (spices) so I guess it depends what sort of fragrance you would prefer :-)

I do find lavender essential oil to be the best for myself. At least ten drops ~ don't be stingy with it!! I agree the smell of henna can be very strong ~ I'm not too bothered by it and find it fades after a day or two but my children complain when…
